This. series.
Okay I feel like I need to preface this by saying that I don’t typically read too much fantasy. I would like to think that I read a fair amount of most genres, but I am by no means a fantasy expert. That being said, this series is pure perfection. Sarah J. Maas is an absolute genius and I would pay good money to get inside her head and ask her an infinite amount of questions about these books over a cup of coffee.
The series takes place in both the human and Fae world. Due to a series of events that take place, A human has to now figure out life in the Fae world, where none have really gone before her. The world that Maas created is so intricate and involved, that I could get lost in it forever. Between different kingdoms, powers, and human and Fae politics, there is so much to unravel. So much time was put into each and every one of the characters, and I need to find a way to become a part of this world asap.
While war has a strong hold on the plot of this series, this is truly a love story. And I mean looove story. Seriously, these books are pretty scandalous if you know what I mean, so if that isn’t your cup of tea, then maybe this series isn’t for you.
